Question : I'm having a sharp and constant pain in my lower left abdomen. You should also know I have not had a bowl movement in 5 or 6 days. Do I need immediate care form a physician?

As first-line management, you can take over the counter available laxatives like lactulose to get proper bowel movements.

Considering your age, constipation has to be evaluated as it can be a sign of lumps or tumors of the colon. Conditions like stone disease can also cause sharp abdominal pain.

Consult a gastroenterologist and plan for a colonoscopy and CECT abdomen.
