Since how long you are having cold and sore throat?
Any other associated symptoms like fever/cold/vomiting?
Are you on any other medication?

For cough, and mucus you can start with Benadryl wet cough syrup 5 ml twice daily for 5 days.

Also avoid cold, frozen foods
Drink warm water
Salt water gargling with warm water
