Question : I’m having vaginal bleeding and I’m not due for my period for another 2 weeks. I did start birth control 2 weeks ago and I was told I might have some spotting with it but there’s a lot more blood than just a few drops. It’s as if I have my period.

I need more details like age ,parity and name of oc pill.
I hope you have started the pill within 3 days from your regular periods. If you have taken daily the adequate dose it is unlikely to bleed .

I’m 20 and I’m taking Tricira Lo. I started the pill on the first Sunday after I got my period (day 4) two weeks ago.

You can continue the pill.But if bleeding continues the dose of pill may be inadequate.In that case get an ultrasound scan to know other causes by consulting an gynaecologist .
