Triptans should be avoided as far as possible
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
Since you are using Lithium and simultaneously have migraine choice of analgesic depends on the frequency of migraine and dose of Lithium.
The safest medication for this purpose is acetaminophen or Paracetamol.
The triptans such as sumatriptans should be avoided as far as possible as there is risk of serious side effect known as serotonin syndrome.
Similarly NSAIDS medication such as Ibuprofen, Diclofenac interact with Lithoium and can cause lithium toxicity and should be taken under supervision of your treating doctor.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
