Question: I’m trying to help a friend. She’s taking prescriptions for other prescriptions side effects and i think it’s making whatever illness she has worse rather than better. Apparently none of her doctors she’s seen has ever found the root of her health problem. 5 years ago, she was a vivacious 48 year old and now she’s using a walker, not being able to work, running out of money, falling asleep and in pain. Not to mention depressed and she can’t work. What can she do? Find other doctors that will fight and dig and find the problem? Naturopath? I don’t any advice would be awesome thanks

Thanks for the query.I have read it & understand your concern.
Pain to the extent of causing inability to walk,sleep or be physically &psychologist fit seems to be the cause of your friends ill health..
I feel she needs a complete health check up right from her detailed past &present history followed by detailed physical examination & needful pathological tests& investigations to reveal cause of pain followed by specific medication ,physiotherapy for pain management along with needful lifestyle changes would help.
Please consult an experienced physician (may be in a government pain management clinic....if she has money problem). She can work on her medicines and side effects with a licenced pharmacist or MD Pharmacology who can communicate with her doctor about any findings.
Psychological support by medicines/counselling would hasten the positive result.
Thus a complete re-evaluation followed by pain management would be helpful
