Question : Hi I have eaten bitter ridge gourd which is extremely bitter. I’m worried about Cucurbit poisonings I like to know the symptoms and how long after having the food will it appear

Watch for nausea diarrhea vomiting in next 4 hours.

Hi there,
Thanks for query,
Initially you need to wait for a minimum of 2 hours however symptoms of nausea vomiting gastritis etc can develop with in an hour of having it.
So first 4 hours are important.
Don't go outside and lie down on bed an relax.
If symptoms develop follow up asap..

Hi doctor
It’s been more than 12 hours now. Am I safe from the cucurbit poisoning or do I still need watch for more time? Will it develop after few days? I have the bitter taste in my mouth. Is there something I have to worry about? I just had few spoons does the amount of the food that we consume matters? I’m feeling a lot panic. Thank you
