Question : Hi I have been having irregular vaginal bleeding on and off for the last year especially with intercourse. I’m only 29! I do drink alcohol more often than I should and I’ve had lab work done within the last 6 months.. and no anemia. I’m worried about cervical cancer and/or infertility.

Hi,
Welcome to Ask a Doctor. I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
I have read your notes in detail. The irregular bleeding that you are having can be due to cervical infection, cervical polyp, cervical ectropion or sometimes due to precancerous lesions of cervix. You need to get a internal examination done by gynecologist at the earliest. Are you regular with Cervical cancer screening tests?
You may also need a pelvic ultrasound to assess your uterus and ovaries.
Best wishes.
