active, dullness, right line of treatment.

Hi thanks for writing to us.

If the stool tests are normal and the baby is active play full and taking mothers milk well, then do not worry.

Continue the treatment as advised by your doctor, it is the right lines.

Go back to your doctor if the child becomes inactive and dull or the amount of the loose stools is more.

Thank you, regards, hope i have cleared your doubts.

Brief Answer:
Insufficient milk, hind milk.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for the review.
In most cases, green poos are a sign that your baby isn’t feeding well, regardless of whether he’s gaining weight. If he isn’t latching on properly at your breast, he may not be getting the fat-rich hind milk that comes at the end of a feed.

So you better visit your doctor once again , learn the proper technique of feeding the baby properly and you can see the difference.

Hope i have cleared your doubts, for further queries please contact us.

How much quantity is suggested for a 1 1/2 month baby? Currently we are on a feed of 80ml for every 3 hrs. Is it the correct quantity?

Answered by Dr. Kaushik K Murthy (12 hours later)
Brief Answer:
25ml-35ml every 2nd hourly.

Detailed Answer:
Hi , thanks for the review.

1.5 months old baby requires atleast 25ml -35 ml every 2nd hourly or as much as the baby drinks and is satisfied, or when ever the baby demands .i.e demand feeding.

If the baby is passing sufficient amount of urine , it means that the baby is getting enough milk.

Thank you.
