                                            thanks for the query
It is likely that she has a flu of the gut. Gut flu is a common cause of abdominal disorders in children. It presents with abdominal pains, vomiting, diarrhea etc. However, not all symptoms may be present. The presence of mucus in the stool is in favor of this. Gut flu is a viral infection and generally treatment is just symptomatic as after a few days, all will be over.
You need to monitor the weight of the child, as any decrease in weight will be indicate severity.
The child has to be fed regularly and avoid over feeding in the evening. Give high protein food, soya beans, eggs, beans etc.
Give the child much water to drink regularly as well,so as to prevent dehydration.
If symptoms persist or the child develops fever or bloody stools or weight loss, you will need to see a doctor for detail examination and for tests such as stool examination and culture and complete blood count.
Hope this answers your query, if you have further query, i will be glad to help.
Best regards
Other possible causes could be indigestion resulting from too much feeding at night.
