Question : Hello,

Is a 4th generation duo test fairly accurate at 21 days post unprotected encounter? I'm at 19 days and wondering if I can take that test. While I know it can't be considered conclusive , I wanted to know if I can test at 21 days with this test and then regular testing at 3 month mark.

i can understand your concerns.

A fourth gen duo test can be used at 21 days but it might not be accurate.

but if you are planning a confirmatory test at 3 months then i suppose you can take the duo test at 21 days.

Thanks for responding. Percentage wise for accuracy the 4th generation duo test at 21 days is about how much accurate? I will take your advice and do this test and the 3 month test.

Percentage wise at 21 days it is around 80-99%; so as I said go ahead and do it but make sure you repeat at 3 months with the confirmatory test which is 99.98% accurate at 3 months.
