Brief Answer:
As explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX Nice to see you again. Noted the contents of your query.

1) Both actrapid and actrapid hm are one and the same. Its a short acting insulin.
2) The side effects would be weight gain and hypoglycemia. For lesser weight gain and lesser incidence of hypoglycemia a rapid acting insulin like novorapid or humalog or apidra can be used.
3) At your weight you should be taking at least 12 units of meal time insulin with Lantus 40 units at bed time. My suggestion would be to use an analog like the ones mentioned above. You will need lesser mid meal snacks with analogs.

Please monitor your glucose levels and titrate for glycemic control. I will be glad to answer if you have any follow up queries. Take care. Regards. Dr Praveen.

Sir,
Thanks for the suggestion. I am already on Novorapid and Levemir. The cost is the biggest concern. Therefore, I want to switch over to Actrapid and Lantus.
So, please suggest me out of the two: Actrapid or Actrapid HM...
Thanks in advance.

Brief Answer:
Take actrapid HM

Detailed Answer:
Hello again. Well, please get a permanent pen - Novopen 4 and get the Actrapid HM penfill cartridge. It has 300 units. So if you are on an average taking 40 units a day in total it will last for a week. That will substantially reduce the cost. If you want to keep the cost to a bare minimum you can consider getting a vial of the same type and using a syringe to inject. You may continue to take lantus as planned. Take care. Regards.
