Question : Can I use aptivate syrup for my baby who is 10 months old? He is really very bad in eating and drinking milk. Just want to increase his appetite.does it work? Any side effects? Pls let me know.

Hi Dear
Welcome to the HCM,
Aptivate is a ayurvedic preparation. Clinically some improvement in the appetite is observed.
Iron syrup like (Tonoferon drops/Feronia XT drops) to be added after discussing with doctor. Multivitamin syrup
like zincovit drops to be added. These both to be continued for long time , They all help in increasing the apetitie.
At this age the baby is developing in terms of physical and mental growth. Leans many communication skill along with this baby also become choosy in feeds. Many times baby says repeatedly NO to feeds inspite he is hungry.Baby is not able to analyse the hunger .
Our job is to feed the baby frequently with small quantity ( semisolids,tasty eatables like dal, rice, soup, curd, custured etc) in spite the baby is refusing to feed.
Gradually baby learn to feed himself after accepting the taste of the feed.
