Question : I am a 58 year old woman. My blood pressure for years was always 120/80 or very close. This summer I have been to doctor for other reasons and my BP was 124/69. Is that normal? Why would the 80 decrease down to 69? Could it be from exercise? I have started exercising this year. However, wouldn't want to miss a sign related to heart.

                                    Brief Answer:
hi and welcome.this os normal
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the query.you dont need to worry at all. This is normal bp and it is better for diastolic pressure to be bit lower than higher. also,bp fluctuate during the day and depends on various factors such as stress, environment temperature, exercise, hydration, food, emotions, hormonal status etc. So if it falls to 69 this is nothing strange and isnt indicating any disorder. only if this is persistently lower than 60,then further tests are required. Wish you good health. Regards
