Brief Answer:
If no symptoms then can monitor...

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

If he has does not have any of the following symptoms such as headache, blurred vision, chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, seizures-- then he can stay home and rest.

Most persons with high blood pressure do not have any symptoms but if he has any of the above then he should be seen.

If he does not have any symptoms then he can rest and recheck in the am but he should still make a non-emergency appointment to be seen by his doctor.

Though his blood pressure may not be as high as this, he may still have high blood pressure though not at this level.

Hope I have answered your query.
