Brief Answer:
CMV infection and persistent symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

CMV IgM Antibody:
Detection of CMV-specific IgM is sometimes useful in the diagnosis of recent or active infection; however, circulating rheumatoid factors may result in occasional false-positive IgM tests.
Have you undergone test also for rheumatoid factor?

CMV can cause myriad of manifestations like prolonged high fevers , sometimes with chills, profound fatigue, and malaise, Myalgias, headache etc. However most patients recover without sequelae, although postviral asthenia
may persist for months. It is surprising that you continue to have many residual symptoms. So to that extent what is your immuno-competency status.Have you undergo serology for HIV infection also?

Claritin (Loratadine) is an antihistamine and is used to treat the symptoms of allergies, such as sneezing, watery eyes, and runny nose. Any other antihistamine (like levoctrizine or Fexofenadine) will give more or less same effects.
You are also hypothyroid and many symptoms which you are having may be related to thyroid dysfunction. I would suggest to repeat your Free T3,free T4 & TSH to know the level of control you are having now.
Till such time you get a firm diagnosis, you can take paracetamol for fever.

I would suggest ANA(Antinuclear antibody) screening for exclusion of Connective tissue disorder as work up of your FUO (Fever of unknown origin) since so far various empirical treatment including course of doxycycline did not work well.
