Is CRP Value Of 17.5 A Cause For Concern?

Question: I just had blood work done and my CRP wad 17.5 Is that number something i should worry about? I did have a cold and was on the mend from that. I thought maybe it could of been high because of being sick. What number is a very high amount that you should worry about?
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. It may be due to recent infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. The normal levels for crp is below 10. We usually take a high CRP level which is above 10 mg/l. The elevation seen in your case is most likely due to the infection you are recovering from. Besides that, crp level can increase in females due to hormonal variation due to periods, obesity or any stress. Hope it helps you. Do not worry.
Thanks and regards
