Brief Answer:
You can give Calcimax - but get back to me with weight of the kid

Detailed Answer:
Hi....You can give Calcimax. But for me to suggest the weight of the kid, kindly get back to me with weight of the kid. I will suggest you the appropriate dosage and duration.

Also let me know if your baby is having any constipation.

Brief Answer:
Calcimax dose suggested - don't worry about milk intake

Detailed Answer:
Hi.... coming to your queries one by one -

1. You can give the baby Syrup Calcimax at 3.5 ml twice a day for 3 months.

2. This is not constipation...do not worry.

3. It is not imperative that milk has to be given definitely. I agree that milk is a good source of calcium.

4. Breast feeding can be given till 24 months of age....so you can continue till 2 years of age.

5. Apart from milk, other home-made food options will be -

a. Daal and rice well cooked and made into a porridge along with ghee
b. Boiled apple or banana and mashed into a paste.
c. Any made cereal porridge preparation with additional ghee added.

Remember certain principles like -

1. Add one food material / cereal or fruit per week. This will be useful because if he develops vomiting or diarrhoea, we will know what to avoid.
2. Add vegetables and fruits made into a paste surely to avoid constipation.
3. Do not add too much sugar as it may cause diarrhoea.
