Question : My hospital doctor prescribed cefdinir for my diverticulitis. I had iv equivalent in hospital. I am allergic to penicillins
Is it safe for me to take orally
In hospital they put it through slpwly

First, take a small trial dose.

Hi,

Sensitivity reaction is seen in almost 10% of patients so initially take a small dose of cefdinir (test dose)and if nothing happens you can take it otherwise switches over to Clindamycin oral.
