Question: Hello Doctor, My mother in law has skin allergies from almost 15 years now and of late its getting little worst . It gets worst when skin gets exposed to hard water and when she has high protein food intake. She is a diabetic with average 7.2 and high bp 130/80 both readings with medication . For high Bp she is taking amlodac 2.5 mg and diabetic zoryl M1 along with this she is taking methotrexate 15 mg along with folic acid for arthritis. Currently for the skin issue she isn't taking any oral medication but she is been prescribed clonate ointment and moisturex . Request your guidance for the skin issue Thanks and Regards, Swathi

Brief Answer:
Plaque psoriasis

Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
I am Dr kakkar (Dermatologist and Venereologist). I have noted your concern and I have viewed the image.
She seems to have plaque psoriasis. I can see red, scaly patches on her legs.
I suggest you to continue with clobetasol propionate 0.05 %cream (Clonate ointment) as we as the moisturizer. The patches should resolve/improve significantly in about 4 weeks. Methotrexate that she is taking for her arthritis should also benefit her psoriasis.

Regards
