Question: Hi Sir,

I have a serious concern regarding a incident happened to me, That i have visited a unhygienic clinic and i had a injection to nerve. I feared he might have given the injection through used needle. Fear of that i consulted a doctor and he told me to get it tested after 3 months and the test done was ELISA it was negative. But after browsing some blogs it was said that it will be conclusive after 6 months. And even i have done the test in the period of 5 months (Enhanced CLIA) in Apollo Clinics and and it was also negative and i repeated it again after 6.5 months in a CARE hospitals (ELISA enhanced chemiluminescence hiv test) and it was also negative. And also i have consulted a doctor and he told no need to worry as 6 months is ample time to get is tested and nothing to worry. But yesterday i have noticed a clinic who was HIV specialist and he told me to get test with high end HIV test and also told that it may extend to 9 months to 12 months and he asked me to get tested with a high end test which cost around 3500 which is a western blot test, but i had a doubt that i have visited a reputed hospitals and they all told it is 100% conclusive and nothing to worry. But this guy confused me i again i am having a traumatic experience. I suspect that the doctor may have told me for his commercial interest to get money from me. Please suggest me doctor whether i need to get tested again or not, whether my tests are conclusive or not.

Thank you doctor, my only one doubt is whether small amount of virus enters also will it be conclusive after 6 months. I am fearing that may be small amount of virus entered and it may take more time to show up like after year like that. please help me doctor in clearing this doubt. I am asking this because the third party stupid doctor explained me like that.

Thanks doctor, so you are saying that any hiv exposure will be 100% conclusive after 6 month. So I can rule out everything now.....
