Question : Hi I am suffering with seizures from past few months and it occurs only once in a month for 2 or 3 mins, I've been advised to take Eption tablets. Is it ok to use these tablets?

Brief Answer: yes right medication Detailed Answer: Hi, Eptoin (phenytoin) is still considered a very good medication to start for seizures. However a set of novel medicines are available. YOu can meet a Epilepsologist and consider their opinion. Please remember that all anti epileptic medicines have to be used regularly (you should not miss a single pill). You should take them at the same time on every day (you should not delay). You should not stop medicine on your own. If you forget to take a pill, take it immediately as you remember. Monthly to once in three month visits to the doctor is advised for testing and dose changes. Hope this is helpful.
