Question : My Doctor has advised taking one Etova MR 400 per day to manage pain for my osteoarthritis in lumber section. I have history of CHF during last two years when some pain killers were not advised. I had open heart surgery in 1999 and am not facing any major heart problems .

Hello,

I have studied your case and I think that you should not take Etova tablet as it can cause damage to kidney.

I would recommend you to take tramadol tablet. Also you should wear lumbosacral belt for support. Meet a physiotherapist and learn back muscle strengthening exercises.

You can also apply voletran ointment over back along with hot water fomentation.
