Question: I have diabetes since last 10 years.
My BS Fasting 130-150 after taking of medicine Gemer-2 DS. Can I do change medicine for sugar will below 100.

Considering your age, current medicines and Fasting blood sugar level there is definite scope for better blood sugar control.

But rather targeting Fasting blood sugar only, HbA1c should be the ideal target.

I may suggest to do -
- Post-prandial blood sugar level.
- HbA1c.
- Renal function test.
- Lipid profile.
- Urine examination including urine Albumin creatinine ratio.
- ECG and if required 2DEcho of heart.

Considering your detailed clinical examination & above test results appropriate medicines for further better control of blood sugar levels can be advised.
