Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM). I can understand your concerns regarding the presence of glucose in electrol powder. I will suggest you not to give at this moment as fasting blood sugar is very high, although the amount of glucose is very less in electrol powder. I will suggest you to control her blood sugar by consulting the doctor and discussing him regarding change or increase in the medicines She is taking for diabetes.
Meanwhile give her a course of probiotic like econorm one capsule per day and a antibiotic of class quinolone like zenflox 200mg bd for three to five days. Give her adequate fluid to prevent fluid insufficiency. May also add tablet Imosec 2mg which is antisecretory agent and will help in controlling diarrhoea fastly. Yo may need to titrate its dose it can be take one to thrice in a day according to the response
