Question : I have a GGT level of 109 with no other risk indicators. I have been drinking a lot of wine lately. Am I in danger?

                                    Brief Answer:
not if you reduce alcohol intake
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.
This is moderately elevated GGT, but for more detiled analysis of liver condition you should check other liver markers, AST,ALT and bilirubin and do liver ultrasound. However, elevated GGT is almost for sure caused by excessive alcohol intake and it should be reduced to acceptable amount of 4-5dcl per day and then recheck your GGT in 2 months. Wish you good health. Regards
