Question: I HAVE STOMACH BLOATING HAD ALL KINDS OF TEXTS VERY THING IS OKAY GULL badder REMOVED. SO MY DOCTOR TODAY PUT ME ON GABAPENTIN one tablet a day. I hestitate to take it. MY EMAIL IS YYYY@YYYY you

Gabapentin is usually for neuropathic pains and withdrawal symptoms of cocaine or insomnia etc. If the doctor has prescribed it, he must have a reason for that. So dont hesitate to take that. Age of 85 is definitely a gabapentin needing age group and a 2 months prescription may have many benefits for your health.
As far as stomach bloating is concerned, with gall bladder removal surgeries , such complaints are pretty common. Bile is stored in gall bladder and with its removal its quantity is compromised in bulk. You should take small frequent meals and low fats and dairy products. Eat plenty of fibers and take fluids in abundance. These will resolve the symptoms. if you still have problems with bloating etc, you may try bile salt pills and see if they help.
