75 grams Glucon D can be used for oral glucose tolerance test
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. Glucon-D contains 99.4 percent glucose.
2. 75 grams of Glucon D can be taken during oral glucose test.
3. Glucometer test might show 5 percent error routinely. Therefore your blood glucose level is in the range of 135 to 150 mg/ dl. The normal range for blood glucose after 1 hour 30 minutes is up to 140 mg/ dl and I find that your blood glucose level after glucose intake is in the normal range.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.
Regards,
Dr.Vivek
