Question : Just received a new product in the mail from Jean-Marc Lemaire Laboratory called Gluthastem .
It's main ingredient is Glutathione taken orally. Is it effective going through the stomach? They claim that in only a few days , you will begin to feel reenergized and full of health and vitality.
Your advise is greatly appreciated.

Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

Glutathione is not absorbed very well when taken orally .Oral glutathione supplements are quickly broken down in the gut and various studies have found that taking Glutathione pills will not increase the level of Glutathione in blood. In order to do so ,it should be taken intravenously.

Taking Glutathione pills every day won't cause any harm for your health. It is safe to take but it won't increase the level of Glutathione in blood.
A way to increase it is to take Glutathione precursors that improve the body’s natural Glutathione synthesis like, N Acetylcysteine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, B Vitamins, Selenium and Milk Thistle Extract.

Hope it helps.
Please feel free to ask for any question you might have.

The supplement is in a tincture. Would it make any difference if held in the mouth sublingually for a few minutes to increase absorption? Otherwise it will be sent back to the shipper as useless.
Thank you.

Hello again.

No,holding the tincture in mouth to increase absorption won't make a significant difference in the amount of glutathione in blood.
As I said an effective way to increase glutathione levels in blood is to take Glutathione precursors.

Take care.
