Question : Hello Doctor , I had a protected Sex with a call girl few days back. She used her hand to make my penis erect. Then she had put the condom . We had vaginal sex for 1 min . I took out the penis from her , she removed the condom. I wiped my penis with a tissue and the activity was over . She cleaned herself in the bathroom. On the 11 th day I did a HIV rapid screening test , HIV 1 and 2 antibody test , both came negative. I did a HIV 1 RNA PCR real time quantitative test and the result is awaited.
Are the above tests conclusive?.... I am living in this anxiety that I am going to die very soon leaving my family behind.
I am getting panic attacks every morning thinking about this.
I don't want to wait for 90 days to know the result.
Can I be close to my daughter , hug her and kiss her. During this time?
Can I be close to my wife during this period?
I will never repeat this activity in my life. It was my biggest mistake.
Please help me.

Chances of HIV transmission is nil

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query. I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering your query.
Welcome to health care magic.I have gone through the details.
The chances of transmission of HIV by unprotected intercourse with a HIV positive person is very low. She may be Negative too. If protected it is nil. I do not see the need for HIV tests.
So the risk is nil.
HIV Antibodies tests are not Conclusive at this stage.
HIV RNA PCR if Negative , is almost Conclusive 11 days post exposure.
You can lead a normal life.
You can allay fears of HIV.

You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you

Hello Doctor,
Thank you so much for your reply. Just a final query, in this period of testing , can I be close to to my family, if I kiss my baby or if I kiss my wife with saliva contact mouth to mouth , is there a possible chance of transmission? Today is day 13 th of exposure and the result for PCR is awaited in another 5 days from now.

Hello Doctor,
I just received the test results for RNA PCR and it came out to be negative... can this be 100 %conclusive? Or do I need to do any follow up tests until 90 days are complete .
Has there been any case in the past in which the situation had changed later?
Please help me with your answer.
