Brief Answer:
Conclusive. Free from HIV.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for query.
I am Dr Bharatesh D Basti answering query.
You have lots of anxiety with HIV.
The vidas test itself shows negative it is almost accurate at 22 days.it measures p24 and antibody.
Then you have done again tests for antibodies and P24 ag at 6 weeks also. So no hiv antigen or antibody to hiv is found in you
So you are free from HIV and I do not recommend any more tests.
Tests are repeated to relieve the anxiety .
You are becoming more anxious to test.
So allay fear of HIV .relax forget about HIV.
You can get back to me for any clarification .
Thank you
Dr Bharatesh

Sir thanks for your kind reply. Before I saw your reply I went to post exposure at 7 weak test (antigen antibody test by CMIA - make Abbott) and got non reactive for HIV. But at the same time I did test for Hepatitis B & C test, result are as follows:

1. Anti HCV - non reactive
(Chemiluminescence Micro particle Immunoassay)
No reference range was written on report for Anti HCV

2. Serum HBsAG - non reactive (0.03 IU/ml)
Reference range: non reactive < 0.05 IU/ml
(Chemiluminescence Immunoassay)
The result value 0.03 is very near to 0.05. Should I concern about it and retest or any there is any better test.

Brief Answer:
Negative for HIV HBV HCV.so allay fears.

Detailed Answer:

Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
So your tests are negative as expected .So do not worry of HIV, HBV or HCV.
Once it is negative do not worry of the nearness to the normal value. It appears near but it is negative and is nothing to worry. The range for reactive will always be set such that all possibilities of false positive are not there. So do not worry about it at all.
So allay fear of HIV .relax forget about the incident.
Lead a normal safe life.Wish you good health

Not hepatitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
It is good that you have got mental strength. So please forget the episode and do not link symptoms to the episode.
These symptoms may be due to viral or due to anxiety.
As all your tests are normal i do not see any problems related to hepatitis.
So relax take plenty of fluids.Do some yoga meditation and walking.
All these will relive your symptoms and anxiety.

Sir,
p24 antigen is related to hiv1 only as we know. What about hiv2. Does hiv 2 antibody appears within 6 week or 7 week. I have learned that ther is hiv2 cases in XXXXXXX also. Are the early symptoms and window period same for both?
Regards

Brief Answer:
Can go for RNA-PCR if still anxious.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.
Yes it tests only for p 24 HIV1 and antibodies of both HIV 1 and 2.
HIV 1 is most common in XXXXXXX HIV2 cases are very rare in India(data not available .one study quotes 0.4% of HIV positive patients) and is not routinely tested in XXXXXXX
If you still have a doubt or anxious of HIV you can go for HIV RNA PCR which will help you to rule out HIV 1 and HIV2 also.
The antibodies appearance may take 3 to 6 months to appear. So not reliable in early weeks of exposure.
HIV2 is known to be milder.
You can get back to me for any clarifications else please close the discussion and rate.
Thank you
