Question : Is HSV2 IGM negative test after 12 days of proposed infection conclusive ?
Brief Answer:
Yes,
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
The incubation period for HSV2 is around 4 to 5 days. Any test determining the infection should come positive after 5 days if infected. If not it is confirmed as negative.
Since, HSV2 IgM is negative after 12 days I would consider the test as confirmatory provided HSV2 IgG is also negative.
Wish you good health.

Dear Doctor, Thanks a lot , but I read too much that test need minimum 6 weeks after the proposed infiction, Please note that both IgG ans IgM are negative.
Kindly confirm that tests after 12 days are enough or not ?
Brief Answer:
6 weeks is for IgG
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
As I mentioned incubation period is around 5 days. IgM to appear in blood it does not take more than 5 to 6 days. It takes more than 5 weeks for IgG to appear.
Since in you IgM is negative and it has crossed a week I confirm it negative. For sure IgG may not appear to.
