Is Hawthorn Safe To Take In High Dosages?

Question : Dear sir,
I am taking Hawthorn 300 mg a day. But My Doctor suggested to use it 5000 mg 2 to 3 times a day. It sounds too strong. Please give me your opinion, sir.

Based on the history you have shared, dosage may vary depending on the cause or reason you have been using it.

However, most of the studies that have been done on the efficacy and side effects of the drug have suggested to keep it under 1500 mg per day as safe dose ranges and it can be split into twice or thrice daily doses.

However, in the higher dose ranges, there is no data of the safety index is available so it's better to keep it in a safe range which has been studied already.
