Brief Answer: If follow the right changes ,have good chances... Detailed Answer: Hi, I have gone through your medical history and your test reports. If you: - continue the medications as directed by your doctor - never consume alcohol - make diet changes - do me physical activity - do regular follow ups: every 6 months (ultrasound and blood works) then, you have good chances to bring your liver back to its normal morphology and function. Once again, you should be determined to follow all the above-mentioned guidelines as need to monitor the progress of steatosis. Wish fast recovery! Dr.Klerida Let me know if you have further queries! I'd be happy to assist your further!

To be honest I still don't know what was the progress in my test reports before and after. And what was the percentage of damage? How critical is it? Is it liver chirosis? Is there any symptoms of Hepatitis B? Is this a contagious dicease (through sexual intercourse or any other)? What are the risks involved in trying for a baby( ie growth of baby by physically and mentally)? Is there any special diet? Regards XXXXXX

Brief Answer: Following answers to your questions... Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX - To be honest I still don't know what was the progress in my test reports before and after. Based on the reports, I have seen improvement of parameters. In other words, since you quit alcohol and started treatment, your blood work and other exams resulted improved for better. - And what was the percentage of damage? I cannot give an exact percentage for the damage of your liver. Approximately, I can guess more than a moderate damage is caused to your liver as per the reports. - How critical is it? Your current health situation is not critical and won't be critical as long as your keep on avoiding alcohol and follow the treatment as prescribed. - Is it liver cirrhosis? From your lab reports, I do not think it is liver cirrhosis yet. The tests evalutating the hepatic function have resulted normal including : - prothrombin levels - albumin - platelets - non-dilated hepatic portal vein - Is there any symptoms of Hepatitis B? At your case, from the clinical symptoms and lab reports, all these data indicate for alcoholic liver disease. However, further tests are needed to exclude hep.B, and C. - Is this a contagious disease (through sexual intercourse or any other)? Alcoholic liver disease is not a contagious disease. Thus, can be transmitted neither through sexual intercourse nor by any other means. It is not not transmittable, but it has to do with changes to the liver caused by habitual drinking of alcohol. - What are the risks involved in trying for a baby( ie growth of baby by physically and mentally)? There is no risk in trying for a baby. - Is there any special diet? The most important thing is to avoid alcohol. Avoid sugary, salty, oily foods. Consume more fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, curd, etc. Hope it answered your queries to your satisfaction! Please do not hesitate to contact me back if you have further clarifications! Dr.Klerida
