Brief Answer: prescription and examination from gynecologist Detailed Answer: Hello mam, I understand your need for contraception but in my opinion you should consult a gynecologist because these pills are basically hormones so they can be given only after thorough examination of the patient most importantly her blood pressure and breast examination and also the dose and type of hormones depend on your body weight. Just one visit to your gynecologist will suffice and is mandatory. Wish you a happy married life and in case you have any other advise I will be happy to help.

Brief Answer: OCPs are safe and have no bad effect on periods Detailed Answer: Hello dear you still have more than a month of effect of depo and its effect on ovulation is even longer. You can switch to OCPs in two months from now after periods. (After physical check up by a gynecologist) OCPs are one of the safest contraceptives and are rather used to treat irregularities in menstrual cycle so rest assured it won't affect your periods. Wish you a happy married life and thanks for choosing health care magic. Take care.

Brief Answer: no need for OCPs for 2 months. Detailed Answer: Hello mam, for next 2 months you don't need to use any OCP because your depo injection will be working for contraception front. After that you can choose the combined hormonal pills which are readily available in market. OCPs are prescribed keeping certain things in mind viz - * Body weight * blood pressure * previous medical history * breast and pelvic examination. So it will be best for you to visit your gynecologist after 2 months and by that time you will back from your honeymoon also. Take care.
