Brief Answer:
Do not give Tixylix

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the details and understand your concern. Most often such symptoms are due to viral infections and antibiotics are ineffective in such cases. Irrespective of treatment, it usually spontaneously resolves in 5-7 days.

Levolin is a bronchodilator and helps in case there is wheezing or noisy breathing. If such symptoms are present, it can be given. Tixylix on the other hand contains Pholcodine, Promethazine i.e. cough suppressant along with antiallergic. I would not recommend cough suppressants. Expectorants like Ascoril LS (contains levosalmutamol i.e. the principle contained in levolin, along with terbutaline, bromhexine and guaifenesin which are mucolytics) should therefore be a better option.

Hi
I also look farwrd to other syrup that needs to accompny with levolin ,if any..
Or levolin alone is sufficient.

Brief Answer:
Ascoril LS is a better alternative

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.

As I have already clarified that Ascoril LS Syrup would be a better alternative than Levolin (it does not need to accompany Levolin as the contents of Levolin are already included). No other syrup is needed apart from this.

Feel free to discuss with your treating physician.
