Hello thanks for asking from HCM

Lorazepam is a short acting benzodiazepine drug and is safe to use. The drug can help in sleep onset. You are 88 and in my opinion first dose of 0.25 mg should be tried and if that doesn't work then dose can be increased to 0.5 mg per day.

Take the drug with proper prescription only.
