Is Lotus Skin Safe Sunscreen Lotion Advisable?

default
Posted on Tue, 15 Nov 2016
Question: Can you please forward my question to Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX from XXXXXXX as he has answered my queries previously

I am looking for a medicated suncscreen that is mattle (Skin coloured completely)

I bought Suncross Tint mattle finish, Lashield etc which are more sort of light mustard coloured.

Can you please suggest me the one like Lotus Skin Safe (totally Skin coloured) or is it good enough to use the Lotus Skin safe itself ?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
You can use the sunscreen.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your further concern.

I hope this mail finds you in good health.

Now a days the market is flooded with so many of sunscreens claiming different features that it it's usual to get confused for what to buy and what to not.

In your case you should use a sunscreen which is not oily one and do not have tendency to cause pimples. Though I have not personally used lotus sunscreen in my patients but as per the contents it appears to be safe.

The basic feature of using a sunscreen is to use it half an hour before going into sun.

All red fruits contains lot sun protective factors. So I suggest you to take lot fruits and related stuff.

I hope this helps.

Hello Sir ,

Thank you for the response.

Can you please let me know if rivela tint sunscreen (being medicated) will be better compared to the Lotus Sun safe ? And what does Tint , Non comedogenic means?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Medicated sunscreens are always better.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome back and thanks for posting your further concern.

Medicated sunscreens are always better than routine ones. But it also depends on the type of skin to apply various kinds of sunscreens.

Tint is the extra shade of sunscreen which claims to provide bit extra protection to the skin. Non comedogenic is the term used for those products which do not blocks the pores and so do not cause pimples. So get a personalised check up from the dermatologist to know a proper sunscreen.

I hope this helps.
