Brief Answer:
It is safe.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Your wife has delayed periods without a pregnancy. Since the repeated urine tests are negative, pregnancy is ruled out. Meprate is a synthetic hormone preparation that will help your wife to have bleeding if she is not pregnant. The delay in such cases is due to mild hormonal imbalance. This is a standard treatment in such situations. There is no harm in taking Meprate for 5 days to resume her periods.

Are there any chances she can be pregnant. Will taking these tablets affect if she is pregnant. Is there any other way to find out if she is pregnant.

Can we go in for a uterus scan?

Brief Answer:
Get her blood HCG levels evaluated.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Chances of pregnancy are low as these urine tests are 97% accurate. To be very sure you can get her blood beta HCG levels evaluated and get an ultrasound scan done. Even if she is pregnant, Meprate will not harm the pregnancy.
Hope my answer is helpful.
