default
Posted on Thu, 24 Dec 2015
Question: Hi, Does metformin come in capsal form. In the morning, I see them in the toilet after bowl movement. Also, is there anything that can stop and correct my bottom of my feet and toes from getting any more NUMB.

Brief Answer:
No.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
Metformin is available in the form of tablets.
In case you are taking any capsules then only the shells may appear in your feces in morning. Moreover the shells of capsules ate mostly digestible and dissolvable. So rarely appear in feces.
I would say that you can go ahead for a stool examination which would tell you that what it is exactly.
As far as numbness of feet is concerned that is probably due to diabetic neuropathy and the treatment includes drugs like Pregabalin and Methylcobalamine.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
