Brief Answer:
Your BP needs to be measured and tracked.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through the query and understand your concerns. Losartan is a good medicine. However, a number of considerations need to be made and a protocol needs to be followed while prescribing BP medications. Recommendations and guidelines are available for the same. Metoprolol has a cardioprotective effect and is preferred even though it has lesser effects on the aged population. You need to see a doctor who could measure your BP, follow it up and define a suitable regimen for you.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
