Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

To answer your question , YES minocyclin does help to control cellulitis , this being said you have to first see if it actually is cellulitis or not. Swelling redness pain can be signs of inflammation rather than cellulitis and in that case anti inflammatory treatment is advised instead of anitbiotics, secondly there should be no antibiotic started without a proper checkup and prescription by a doctor , that is the reason antibiotics are kept in the category of prescription drugs.

In this case scenario I would advise you to start Tylenol this will relieve pain and swelling in any case and get yourself a medical checkup to get a proper prescription of most adequate antibiotic needed for your particular case. Self use of antibiotics is not advised.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.
