Question : Hello Docter am regular to periods and this time my periods are delay for 6 days and my home pregnancy test came negative. My doctor has adviced me to take Modus10 is it safe

Thanks for asking. I understand your concern.
You have a history of regular menstruation.. but this month it was delayed by 6 days .. you did pregnsncy test.. it was -ve &you were advised to take tab.Modus 10.
Actually pregnancy home test becomes +ve after 8 days delay in normal period.you had done it prematurely... &it may turn + ve when done at proper time.
Modus 10 is a high dose hormone preparation &is used to regularise irregular periods. It is also known to cause fetal abnormality when taken during pregnancy.So it is conyraindicated in pregnancy.
So I would suggest to repeat pregnsncy test to confirm/exclude pregnsncy &decide to take the Modus 10 if pregnancy is -ve.
