Avoid nebasulf powder
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for your query.
I'm Dr. Shuba Hariprasad and will be answering your query today.
No, I do not recommend nebasulf powder for stage 2 pressure sores. The powder may stick to the raw areas and prevent proper healing. It may also be difficult to remove the hardened powder and clean it
I suggest :
- an antibiotic ointment containing mupirocin for application during dressing.
The area has to first be be cleaned and dried thoroughly. A clean fresh dressing has to be applied each time.
-avoid pressure for longer than half an hour on the affected area.
-placentrex gel for local applications to promote healing can be applied after talking to your doctor..
-make sure you take all prescribed medications correctly and go for follow up to check if the sore is healing well
Hope this helps.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Regards,
Dr. Shuba Hariprasad
