Question : Will it be safe to take a PM sleep aid while taking amoxicillin. I'm taking amoxicillin for a serve cold.

Hello,
it is safe to take it with amoxicillin so the answer is yes but you've mentioned Alka-seltzer plus, Dayquil and Mucinex as well. If you take all these drugs then you shouldn't.
Some of them may already contain similar active substances.
I can't be absolutely sure about that because there are many formulations under the same brand name like Dayquil severe cold and flu or Dayquil cold and flu relief or Dayquil cough, etc.
The same applies for alks-seltzer and Mucinex.
You can check whether your formulations contain acetaminophen and an antihistamine or not.
If they do then be warned that PM sleep aid does too, so you would risk taking a higher dose of acetaminophen or antihistamine (or both) if you take all of them.
