Brief Answer:
One is cheaper than the other

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

These drugs are the same but for the fact that one is a generic brand and another a brand name. Branded drugs are packaged incite looking ways and are for sure more expensive than the generics. The generics are mainly for poorer population while the branded are for persons who can pay. They are exactly the same in terms of the active ingredient and the drug effects on the body. I often recommend generic to my patients(Paroxetin) because it is cheaper and works just as good as the branded more expensive(Paxil)

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Please, are you sure? Yes they say they are the same but why does the Paroxetine seem different than the XXXXXXX Brand Paxil. When I started taking the Paxil- XXXXXXX Brand I felt as if I was reborn. I felt like I had a new life. It took care of the anxieties and panic attacks I experienced. I was able to drive on freeways and was so much easier going. I had enthusiasm and was even able to fly on my own (in a plane of course). Right now I am trying Fluvoxamine and feeling horrible.

Brief Answer:
Yes, I am sure!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Fluvoxamine is different from paxil/paroxetin. If you think this was a super drug for you, i rather suggest you ask your doctors to switch you back on them. Why was it stopped when you were doing that great on it?

Let me hear back from you!

Kaiser kept telling me they could not get the Paxil XXXXXXX Brand. They were able to get it a couple of times and then this last time they said "no" I had run out of time and pills by the time I went in to see why I had not received them. I started feeling sick and didn't know I was experiencing withdrawals, went in to the doctor and she told me it was withdrawals and at the same time I came down with a virus.

Never experienced anything like that in my life. Very bad, very bad. Now I am trying the Fluvoxamine and I am having side effects from that. Crying, dry skin on hands and feet, depressed and can't seem to accomplish anything here at home. I took a smaller dose because I am sensitive to medication and felt like I wanted to stay in bed all day. I have an e-mail in to my doctor and hopefully I can go back to the Paxil. I was told they do not make it any more but that is not true.
Thanks Doc, for listening.

Keep me posted!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Am so sorry to hear about all this. Keep me posted when you talk to your doctor. Insurance companies often look for ways to escape their responsibilities. I hope they get to find a solution to this pretty soon.

Keep me posted on this.
