Brief Answer:
Likely to be due to gastritis.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns. Your son possibly has developed gastritis and that is the reason for his throwing up. Giving Pepto bismol (bismuth) is not advisable. Give him Lanzol Junior (lansoprazole) once today and once daily before breakfast for a few days thereafter. Give him ORS (Oral rehydration solution) to replenish the lost water and salts. If needed, you can also give some antiemetic like ondansetron. Hopefully he would be fine again in a day or two.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
