Brief Answer:
May not useful this time

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As per the literature Primolut has to be started at least 5 days prior to the date of expected periods. If you have started only one day in advance it may not be effective. It takes 72 to 96 hours to attain the desired concentration of the drug to prevent periods. You can stop the drug whenever you are comfortable and there is bleeding within 72 hours of stopping the drug. You should take the drug on time each day so that the effectiveness of the medicine works. However this drug should not be taken regularly and not more than 2 weeks continously.

Hope this answers.
