Both contain alprazolam

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.

Procalm and xanax both contain alprazolam, a benzodiazepine. It is a sedative as well as used in anxiety. Basically, as they contain the same ingredient, the efficacy is similar. Just the fact that some physicians prefer one over other, or according to the availability of the drugs, one of them are prescribed. You can take either if required, if the power i.e. 0.25, 0.5 or 1mg is same, there should not be any gross difference in efficacy.

Hope i have answered your question.
If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
Regards
