Is RO Water Safe For Consumption For A 17-month-old Toddler?

Question : Hi Doctor,
My daughter is 17 months old.
Till now we were giving her RO water after boiling and cooling at room temperature.
Can we start giving her RO water directly now?

The purpose of any form of purification of water is to make it devoid of germs. In earlier days when technology was not available, it was done by boiling. Simply RO is enough (in fact more than enough) and boiling it again was pointless anyway. So, yes, you can give her RO water directly without any further processing.
