Brief Answer:
Your vaccination schedule is safe and acceptable

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in.

I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.

1. Rabipur is purified chick embryo cell vaccine and vaxirab is purified duck embryo vaccine.

2. In function both vaccines are the same and help generate anti rabies antibodies in the patient.

3. Research has shown both vaccines to perform equally and therefore even if you have taken rabipur on day 0 and vaxirab on days 3, 7 and 14 then it is acceptable and you are safe.

Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Please take vaxirab on day 30 dose

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. In my personal opinion it is best to switch once and then continue as you have done.

2. The vaccines have a similar function that is to stimulate generation of antibodies in the patient. They are approved by World Health Organization and have shown equal effectiveness in producing anti rabies antibodies.

3. In conclusion, please do not get worried and continue with vaxirab on day 30.

Hope your query is answered.

Brief Answer:
Taking vaxirab on day 28 is recommended for you

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.

1. Taking the injection on day 28 is recommended for you.

2. Some regulations write it as day 30 because it is easier for the patient to remember to take it after one month or 30 days.

3. Since this is a booster dose therefore technically taking it on day 28 or 30 does not make much of a difference.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Dr.Vivek
